Honda Civic Type R 2004 (54) EP3 FSH New Clutch
2004 (54 reg) Honda Civic in Cosmic Grey 2 Keys. 122,2xx miles 6 disc CD Changer with Honda OE head unit. Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres all round, good tread left. ABP'Fast-Road' geometry setup (last set on July 18th). Tegiwa Carbon airbox & scuttle kit.

Ferodo DS2500 pads, Brembo discs + HEL Braided Lines. Car drives great, engine pulls smoothly and no crunches on gear change. Bodywork is in good condition for age - no rust. Few slight blemishes and stonechips as is to be expected but nothing noteworthy. I have owned it since October 17 and has been well looked after throughout my ownership.

When I bought it the car had always been serviced at a Honda main dealer from 2005 through to 2016. During my ownership, the car has always been serviced at either a local, trusted independent garage or Honda specialists ABP & Grinspeed. I have had the clutch changed recently and have always made sure to keep within the manufacturers service intervals, with oil changes often carried out more frequently than advised by Honda (always ran on Motul Sport ester oil). The only the thing that hasn't been done on this is the timing chain, which I've been advised is not necessary unless the car is showing signs of wear (which this never has done).

I've fitted a JDM rear ARB along with ABP's'fast road' geometry to help liven up the chassis, these are well documented and recommended mods to this car, along with the gruppe m rep intake to give the otherwise slightly muted engine a bit of growl and a more pronounced VTEC crossover. There really has been no expense spared on this car and I hope it shows! I have rectified any fault that has come to my attention as I hate driving a car around that I know is not right! 7/9/05 - 6,829 mi - Johnsons Honda.

20/10/17 - 101,388 mi - AP Autos. 30/8/18 - 111,108 mi - ABP Motorsport (Steering rack replaced with new slider, along with fitting of JDM rarb + new front camber bolts). 13/9/18 - 111,642 mi - Grinspeed full service inc.

Valve adjustment, gear oil & spark plugs. 26/11/18 - 113,000 mi - Grinspeed (Clutch replacement). 28/2/19 - ABP (Fast road setup).

18/7/19 - ABP (both front track rod ends replaced, alignment set). Car also had an oil change in early 2019, along with fitting of new discs, pads, brake lines + fluid but unfortunately I have no paperwork for this, only receipts for the parts. Bad Points: Occassional'sneeze' on startup from starter motor - car starts first time every time.

Driver seatbelt slow to retract at times, have to help feed it in. Few slight scuffs to interior plastics around A pillar and door sill All wheels are slightly scuffed and could do with a refurb - this has never really bothered me.

Front fog lamps have crud behind the glass, still functioning although 1 bulb needs replacing - could do with a clean or possibly replace, again never really bothered me as out of sight. Occasional squeak from steering rack. I did have this replaced in my ownership as there were issues with the electric motor on the original rack. I sourced a used rack and had it fitted by ABP Motorsport along with a new OEM steering slider.

EPS issues are gone but there is occasional squeak, I have read this can be easily remedied with fresh grease but have never got round to it.
