Reluctant sale of my absolute one-off EK9, well loved, extremely capable car built by multiple race winning race-car builders. Due to the colour, it's history is easy to trace. I bought it in Feb 2014 as a B16B car with few modifications on it. The current build was finished roughly a year later.

The build has covered 35K miles at most. I used the car daily for some time as well enjoyed its epic ability on track twice. RaceDNA built (complete car) highly modified B18C engined EK9.

Body - originally a black car (non-race base) but was painted pre-import. A couple of car park scuffs on passenger side and one on rear bumper.

Front splitter is custom and carbon fibre, but has a crack. Rear spoiler is a genuine Spoon Carbon one and suffers from the normal Spoon carbon fading - could do with sanding and re-lacquering. Drivers side door mirror was vandalised and broken off - I have a replacement rare motorised one ready to go on, but in black.

Oil temperature and pressure gauges in the dash. Arches were rolled before I bought the car - there is some rust starting to form on the rolled lips. Very rare SSR Type-C 16 5-stud wheels with Nankang NS2R (medium compound) tyres. Original powder coating and stickers on. Genuine EK9 windscreen has a crack in it. Underside isn't perfect - would benefit from cleaning and re-sealing / re-proofing. Interior - genuine EK9 carpets and complete rear seat.

Front seats are lightweight Recaro SPG in red on Buddyclub super-low rails. Upgraded stereo with small sub. Steering wheel is a Sparco flat bottomed wheel with HKB boss.

Aircon deleted (not by me). Chassis - custom specced Penske dampers and custom specced Eibach springs. Dampers are mounted "through" the upper mounts to lower ride height but retain the desired stroke length. All bushes are made from non-Newtonian material that give good NVH reduction, but instantly harden when pressure is applied. Rear ARB bushes need replacing.

Rear subframe removed, strengthened and repositioned to improve roll centre. Brakes - Willwood midlight calipers on the front, OEM on the rear. Front discs are floating on aluminium bell housings to reduce unsprung rotational weight. Pads are RaceDNA specific compound. Engine - RaceDNA sourced and built B18C.

Bottom end is "blueprinted plus" to ensure longevity and balance. Head is based on B18C head, but includes custom cams and valve train etc and 2 weeks of head work undertaken by ex F1 engineer. Adjustable cam gears and kevlar cam belt. Skunk 2 larger butterfly throttle body and OEM looking B18 inlet manifold, ported, flowed and polished to compliment the rest of the head / engine design. Uprated and ported oil pump.

Standalone ECU with custom map, road mapped when built and tweaked after 2000 miles. Rev limiter set to 9400 - ensures plenty of head room for longevity. Has a slight misfire - suspect a sensor affecting ECU timing. Exhaust - Handmade stainless 2.5 system, including manifold (headers) modelled and designed to scavenge from the head. Manifold is heat wrapped, tail pipe is single outlet with a rolled edge.

Noise testing at Castle Combe showed circa 72 - 76db. Gearbox - OEM B18C gearbox, completely rebuilt when the car was built with the engine.

KAAZ plated differential with race fluid (changed circa 400 miles ago), shimmed and set up to grip but cause no issues when used on the road. This build would cost circa 30k to repeat, and would require a stock EK9, but it won't be repeated. This car is an absolute one-off and the R&D that went into is priceless. It is not just a collection of parts bolted together - it was designed as a holistic system in it's entirety. Someone else needs to use and enjoy this amazing car born of the incredible work of the epic guys at RaceDNA. The prices for these cars is going through the roof internationally, but not quite yet hit the UK market. Car is located in Herefordshire. It is NOT road legal so will require towing / carrying - and the battery is flat. The current number-plate is NOT transferrable so is on retention. No swaps - sale only.
