To sell as I've run out space - the car deserves to be enjoyed and not parked. Had a lot of interest - please arrange a viewing, inspect it and take her for a spin and you'll know how good the car is for yourself. Honda Civic Type R - Ek9. You can see my other listings, all my cars i've owned 3-5 years but unfortunately I need to sell up. This is a special car; the shell is very clean and solid. The engine has been modified in a way to get the most out of the car. Ek9s are very fast and a great drive as they are but what this car has is more torque, earlier vtec and a lot more BHP. The power and set up of this car is fully usable, unlike a lot of modified cars which are high powered but they struggle to put the power down this my car all the power is usable and its available on tap.

The car was built to be track focused but also be able to drive up to the track day and drive home again it is fully road legal, has all of the interior and all heating etc. I have all the receipts available and you are able to go through them all and youll see thousands spent on the car it now needs an owner who can use it. I travel for work and the car simply doesnt get used. Around 500 miles covered in the last 3 years of ownership! The Shell has covered 95k kilometres only and is clean.

It was built to carry a higher BHP, grip better, and handle much better than ek9s from stock all of the power is usable and unlike the Vtec in most Hondas, which comes in at 6/6.2k causing a delay, this is available on tap and is amazing for coming out of corners. H22 Block running a 2.2l Naturally Aspirated Vtec engine. The car has been mapped to run 235bhp (Dyno sheet to prove) and This was without the upgraded air filter so it should make around the 240-245 mark. Mileage is 95k km roughly 59k miles on the shell. The engine has done only around 5k km.

The car come with Tein Coilover suspension which have covered around 2000 miles and are in excellent condition. Standard brakes on the EK9 were always some of the best Honda made OEM.

Due to the car being light it has never needed anything more. Nankang Semi slick tyres These tyres are immense! My EK9 has a good amount of torque compared to the stock ek9s on the B16 engine so in the wet it can spin up, with these tyres, however, in the dry the grip is unreal! The car has the full interior intact, it has the original Seats at the front and back.

The bolsters on the driver seat has the usual wear, these can be repaired or replaced for lighter bucket seats if you want to save further weight! The car has full carpet, door cards and all interior.

The car weighs around 1,000kg as standard which is very light for the 235-245bhp engine output it produces. Full usual ek9 Recaro seats. Sony stereo with USB input. EK9 Carpet front and back. Boot is stripped with the racing battery relocated.

Washer bottle is relocated to boot also. The design and set up of my EK9 is done in a manner for the driver to have power on tap, this is extremely useful for cornering and especially coming out of corners where the cars Vtec is already engaged, in the right gear, allowing it to benefit from its best characteristics (Light weight, late braking and powering out of corners). The car has been fitted with a Hondata ECU, allowing the power and torque to be increased and the Vtec to arrive earlier.

The way in which the car has been mapped means there is minimal lag, unlike most Vtec cars, where you have little power and then a surge when the vtec is engaged, my set up means that kick is less but the power is available on tap and more usable as the power comes in a lot earlier. Starts first time, every time. Temp gets up to the optimum level and stays. Great power to weight ratio roughly 235BHP per ton (if you strip the car that would be increased). For the purpose of, general, comparison cars with a similar BHP per ton are as follows.

Aston Martin DB9 (2004) - 264 Porsche 996 Twin Turbo - 263. BMW E46 M3 CSL (2003) 260. Audi RS6 Plus (2004) - 258. Audi RS4 Quattro (2005) 255. Mercedes CL 63 AMG - 252. Aston Martin V12 Vanquish (2001) 248. Aston Martin DB7 GT - 242.

Cadillac STS-V (2006) - 237. Ford Mustang SVT Cobra (2003) 235. Audi S8 (2005) - 232. Chrysler 300C SRT-8 (2006) - 232.

Cadillac CTS-V (2004) - 230. Dodge Charger SRT-8 (2006) 226. Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 coupe (2005) - 225.

BMW E46 M3 Coupe (2000) 223. Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 roadster (2005) 219. With the EK9 you get a much tighter cornering and less weight to slow down under braking. The car has never seen a track, nor has it been abused in anyway. Window motors not working (I will try get these fixed but cannot promise this due to lack of time).

Passenger door lock is sticky. No Power steering (this is to ensure the driver gets the full feel of the road). Perfect match with the suspension and tyre set up. Solid Engine mounts means there is some vibration this is not an issue.

Very slight spots of rust on OSR arch (very easily treatable). Front bumper has lacquer peel / slight paint chips. Exhaust has taken a few knocks from humps in the road but works fine. Rear spoiler is not an original ek9 one never bothered me too much but I would change if I was able to keep it. The car has driven around 500 miles in the last 3 years its spot on and no issues as it has been dry stored.

Ive been completely honest because I want to ensure everything is in the open to ensure you are comfortable Please arrange to visit and check it all for yourself.
