Honda Civic Type R EP3, Eibach coilovers 11 months MOT

Please see here for more photos! For sale is my Civic Type R, currently on just over 130,000 miles. Ive owned it for the past 4 years and in that time.

Its never let me down. This engine is absolutely faultless, sounds fantastic and has had the two big maintenance jobs done - new OEM timing chain and tensioner, and clutch in 2016 on 101,292 miles at TI Motorsport. Ive had various Type Rs for the last 12 years and do most of the general maintenance myself, always using quality oil (Fuchs Titan race 5w-40 synthetic) and genuine filters.

The last oil change being in June on 127,000 miles, at the same time replacing the plugs with NGK Iridium items. The valve clearances were checked and adjusted last year (120,000), so its nice and quiet and drives superbly. Is strong, and theres no smoke etc. The MOT was done last month, and runs until 4th October 2020. 2004 Facelift non-air con model, 130,474 miles.

Eibach Pro Street S coilovers. Eibach / SPC adjustable rear camber arms (new November 2018). Eibach 15mm bolt on spacers (new June 2019).

Refurbished rocker cover (October 2018). Wheels powder coated and new Toyo Tyres. Its just had new rear pads and the calipers. Eibach coilovers are seriously good, the bodies are made by KW, none of this Taiwanese rubbish. The wheels do catch the arches on big bumps with the spacers, I think this could be remedied with a little extra negative camber (currently set up with only -1 degree on the rear which is fairly mild for these).

It sits so well on them though, Ive just left it, its really not that bad unless you have a car full of people often. The rear arches have started to go on the lip, its not a big deal but will need addressing at some point if youre looking for a perfect car. Last week I checked behind the rear arch liners where these commonly rot and its all solid, theres some surface corrosion which is still at the point where it could be treated and under sealed but nothing horrific lurking in there. It had an advisory on the most recent MOT for this, I spoke to the tester and he confirmed its very early and treatment is all it needs, they are just very strict. I can send pictures of the underside and arches on request.

The paint, whilst generally looks great when clean, does have a couple of scratches, the worst in the rear bumper where someone clipped me in a car park and never owned up, and the front end has a fair few stone chips. It is a 15 year old. Theres a knocking / clicking from the front suspension. Were fitted I also replaced the drop links and top mounts, but its still there.

It happens mainly at low speeds whilst turning, coming off the sloped drive etc. I cant work out where its coming from though. Generally though, its a great example of a car which is increasingly becoming harder to find in this condition, it has been looked after well. If you have any questions please let me know.
