Honda Civic Type R FN2 GT 2007
Here we have my 2007 Honda Civic Type R FN2 GT. This car has been an absolute workhorse and hasn't skipped a beat. The mileage on the clock is 66k, this is also reflected in the MOT and online (there are no mileage discrepancies) , however the true mileage is closer to 120k. The reason for this is because I bought a new Clock as the original had a few scratches. So Just bare that in mind. I think you can read the true mileage on the Flashro, but i'm not 100% sure bout this. I could easily just lie about this and claim it has 66k miles on it as the records are all reflective of that, but I'm an honest bloke. I have serviced this car for the most part as changing oil and filters is pretty simple on these cars. In 2017 It had a new clutch, full service and brake pads and disks all round. I've barely driven it since then.

It comes with Flashpro and a custom remap which is currently installed, It's much better than standard, although you can change it back to standard if for some reason you want to drive slower. It also has a tracker fitted, you will need your own subscription if you want to use it and it also has clifford Blackjax installed. Comes with 2 working keys, a logbook and a user manual and also Flashpro which can you use for diagnostics and to switch between maps. You just need a laptop and download the software from the flashpro website.

The flashpro is currently locked to this car and won't work on another car until you put the standard map back on this car. Other subtle changes: Double Din head unit conversion, upgraded door speakers and soundproofing, tinted rear quarters, gloss black roof wrap, Skunk2 heavy gear knob, Custom battery strap, reversing camera. New OEM replacement windscreen fitted in 2016 due to stone chips, rain sensors still work just fine. This car has auto headlights, cruise control and all the usual GT spec refinements.

Interior is in pretty good condition, no rips or tears or any significant wear. Engine is rock solid, starts up and goes perfectly without any issues. Very smooth and responsive, the map makes a lot of difference, Vtec comes in early and the throttle response is much sharper.

I've just put a brand new Honda OEM battery in it. Could probably do with new tyres, and a service in the next year, there's a couple MOT advisories for suspension components but these are not urgent and don't affect how it drives (or safety) But just bare them in mind. MOT expired last week and I haven't driven it since last march except up and down the road to stop things seizing up. Centre console needs replacing, I have a brand new one from honda still in its box, cba to fit it though but will include in sale.

Boot door trim has a small crack from when i fitted the reversing camera, not too bad though, hasn't bothered me. Front drivers side arch trim needs glueing down. 5 minute job Got a fair few stone chips on the bonnet and front bumper, could do with a wrap. 3rd Gear synchro mesh has a bit of a notchy feel to it when the engine is cold, or if you aren't engaging the clutch fully.

This is slightly annoying until you get used to it, then its ignorable. The Blackjax button is a bit worn so I'll order a new one before sale, Id recommend getting a car electrician to just remove it completely as it's fairly annoying, if you disconnect the battery it re-arms the Blackjax if you had it switched off, and you'll need to enter the code to actually go anywhere, its caught me out a few times, also the button tends to wear out after 3 years and will need replacing, I just kept a few new ones at hand for this eventuality. MOT expired but i'll MOT it if I get a reasonably good sale price.

Rocker cover could do with a respray, its a bit flakey now. The Air con is dead, Honda seem to think it needs a new compressor, but if you put a new relay in it it works for a few days then cuts out again, so not really sure whats up with it. The head unit is quite old now, so whilst it does have a satnav, you will find its quite out of date and wont show any recently laid roads. Other than that, it plays music just fine via radio, USB, Bluetooth etc. Some newer phones might not work with the bluetooth, Like I said, its an old model.

You need to put some washers under the skunk2 gear knob so its facing the correct position, I never bothered because I've never looked at it whilst changing gear or I just don't have OCD like everyone else in the world claims to have. One of the rear brake calipers is sticky and needs stripping out and rebuilding with new seals etc. If you are interested in checking the MOT history on the GOV UK website the Registration number is GF07 YCD you can check all the mileage records too. The alarm battery needs replacing as the alarm will sometimes go off if you lock it and leave it.

Pretty good condition for its age, engine is solid and runs VERY well, pulls through gears beautifully and VTec engages as it should. I put this down to me doing regular oil changes and not ragging it until the engine is up to temp. Needs a bit of cosmetic attention, but it wouldn't take much to have it looking sweet to be honest. I just can't be bothered as I have another car so time to let this one go. The engine has never been modified, so its perfect if you want to slap a supercharger or a turbo kit or nitrous or whatever you want if you're into that sort of thing. If you message me with questions that are already answered in this description, I'll just ignore them. It is what it is. This would suit a car enthusiast who wants a little cosmetic project or hobby. Or you could just strip it out, charge it and turn it into a track car. The item "Honda Civic Type R FN2 GT 2007" is in sale since Friday, October 11, 2019.
